HOW TO APPLY FOR A NEW HABITAT HOME IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY TN

Guidelines to qualify for a Habitat home include the following: You have a need for decent housing. You must have been a resident of Cumberland County for the past 12 months, and be a citizen or legal resident of the United States. You have an acceptable credit rating and low current debts. You have a reasonable work history or regular means of income such as wages, tips, Social Security, SSI, child support or food stamps. You are willing to partner with Habitat and work at least 500 "sweat equity" and self-improvement hours required to help build your home. You can save $1,300 before your home is completed to pay the closing costs. Your total family income falls between the following amounts of money per year:

If you can answer " yes" to the aove questions and your income falls between the above guidelines, we want you to apply for a Habitat home.
