HOW TO APPLY FOR A NEW HABITAT HOME IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY TN

All applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, family status or national origin.
Guidelines to qualify for a Habitat home include the following: You have a need for decent housing. You must have been a resident of Cumberland County for the past 12 months, and be a citizen or legal resident of the United States. You have an acceptable credit rating and low current debts. You have a reasonable work history or regular means of income such as wages, tips, Social Security, or child support. You are willing to partner with Habitat and work at least 500 "sweat equity" and self-improvement hours required to help build your home. You can save $1,600 before your home is completed to pay the closing costs. Your total family income falls between the following amounts of money per year and you are not eligible for a conventional mortgage:
