| WHO SHOPS AT THE HOME STORE? | |
| Our regular customers here at the Cumberland County Habitat Home Store are like old friends. They may be searching for a new lid for an old casserole bowl, buying a stuffed toy for a grand baby or just shopping for a real bargain. | |

Our customers buy flower arrangements made by our Crafters to take to shut-ins, furniture for kids who are moving out, exercise equipment -- and the gentleman who shops while updating us on the book he's writing about the "missing link" he has found in Cumberland County! We discourage bringing animals into the store, so one of our regulars brings his dog in a baby stroller. Dressed in the best doggie clothes, he rides around in style to the amusement of all the other shoppers. A man came in recently walking with a cane and fell in love with an old potting bench. He felt the price was a bit high and asked Vanessa, the store manager, if she'd reduce the price if he could balance his cane on his nose. He did! We won't tell if Valessa lowered the price, but everyone had a good laugh. From Senior Citizens who live on Social Security and want a pretty trinket to brighten their lives, to those who can afford a whole room full of good second hand furniture, we value them all! |
